Abstract

Language skills in early childhood are the main foundation for children's future academic development, including the ability to read and write. This study aims to determine the effect of the contextual teaching and learning learning model on the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. This is done so teachers can understand effective and appropriate learning models to improve children's language skills in Group B of Rainbow Kindergarten, Bulukumba Regency. Data were collected using observation sheets. The data were then analyzed descriptively and independently of t-test samples. Based on data analysis, there were significant differences between the two groups. Thus, using specific learning models in experimental activities positively impacts early childhood language skills
