Plagiarism Notice

Ar-Ribhu: Journal of Sharia Management and Finance, as a respected international journal, seeks to ensure that all authors are careful and adhere to international standards of academic integrity, especially regarding plagiarism issues.

Plagiarism occurs when an author takes ideas, information, or words from another source without proper credit to that source. Even when unintentional, plagiarism is still considered a serious academic violation and is unacceptable in international academic publications.

If the author learns specific information (such as a name, date, place, statistical data, or other detailed information) from a particular source, a citation is required. (This may be exempt in cases of general knowledge where the data is readily available in more than five sources or is considered common knowledge, for example, the fact that Indonesia is the most populous Muslim-majority country in the world.)

If the author takes an idea from another author, a citation is required—even if the idea is further developed. This could include an idea on how to interpret data, what methodology to use, or conclusions to draw. Regardless of the idea, the author must cite the original source of the idea. If the idea is further developed, the author can elaborate on this development in subsequent sentences.

If the author uses words from another author, both a citation and quotation marks are required. Whenever four or more consecutive words are identical to a source the author has read, quotation marks must be used to indicate the use of another author’s original words; a citation alone is not sufficient.
