Abstract

The development of Islamic science to this day is not without the role of many scholars. There is no exception to Islamic science, which is not only the role of Arab scholars, but also non-Arabs. (mawali). The use of the term mawali megalami is a paradigm shift that is now understood as an independent non-Arab Muslim. Still in the context of Bani Umayyah, the Mawali occupies many roles and is widespread in various areas of power. This must have raised the attention of the Islamic scholarship brought by the Mawali. The type of research used is Library Research, a qualitative method with analytical descriptive. Researchers describe relevant data and analyze it with historical approaches so it is more accurate and comprehensive. The purpose of this research is expected to expand knowledge about mawali and their role in the world of Islamic knowledge. The result of this research is that mawali has many roles in Islamic sciences both in the fields of Tafsir Science, Qiraat Science, Kalam Science, Hadith Science, and Fiqh Ushul Fiqh Science.
