MODEL KEUANGAN SOSIAL ISLAM BERBASIS KOMUNITAS MELALUI PENDEKATAN PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI UMAT
Abstract
Social and economic inequality remains a significant issue for Muslims, particularly in developing countries such as Indonesia. Islamic social finance, which includes zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF), offers an alternative grounded in spiritual and social values to advance society. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of community-focused Islamic social finance models to enhance the economic empowerment of the ummah. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines, by analyzing 10 academic articles selected from the years 2020 to 2025. The findings indicate that community-based models rely on the integration of various Islamic social finance instruments, active involvement of local volunteers (especially women), and the strengthening of institutional structures to improve the community's economic conditions. This model has proven to be more successful than centralized approaches in reducing poverty and increasing economic resilience. The study introduces a new conceptual framework beneficial for Islamic philanthropic institutions in designing more participatory, equitable, and sustainable community-based empowerment strategies.
