Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of venture capital in fostering the resilience of digital startups during the 2025 economic transformation era from the perspective of industry practitioners. The background of this research is grounded in the rapid dynamics of the digital economy, the growing need for innovative financing, and academic debates surrounding the effectiveness of venture capital in strengthening the sustainability of technology-based businesses. The research employs a qualitative exploratory design through semi-structured interviews with venture capitalists, digital startup founders, and ecosystem enablers. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and key themes that capture venture capital's contribution to enhancing startup capabilities. The findings reveal that venture capital acts not only as a financial provider but also as a strategic partner offering managerial guidance, network expansion, and governance support. Venture capital significantly strengthens startup resilience in navigating market volatility, business risks, and continuous innovation demands. This study contributes empirical insights to the theoretical discourse on venture capital and offers recommendations for strengthening Indonesia's digital startup ecosystem.
