Plagiarism Policy

Interling: International Journal of English Language Teaching, Literature, and Linguistics upholds academic integrity and strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form. To ensure originality, the journal follows these guidelines:

  1. Definition of Plagiarism
    Plagiarism includes:

    • Direct Plagiarism: Copying text without citation.

    • Self-Plagiarism: Republishing one’s own work without proper attribution.

    • Mosaic Plagiarism: Paraphrasing from multiple sources without credit.

    • Improper Citation: Failing to properly acknowledge sources.

  2. Plagiarism Screening

    • All submissions are checked using Turnitin or similar software.

    • Manuscripts with more than 20% similarity (excluding references) will be reviewed further.

    • If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript may be returned for revision or rejected.

  3. Consequences of Plagiarism

    • Before Publication: The manuscript will be revised or rejected.

    • After Publication: If plagiarism is found, the article will be retracted, a retraction notice will be issued, and the author may be banned from future submissions.

  4. Author Responsibilities

    • Submit original work with proper citations.

    • Avoid self-plagiarism by citing previous works correctly.

    • Ensure all borrowed content is properly quoted and referenced.
